Hello everyone! This is Courtney Jean Heckel !! I am soooo grateful and happy because my dream of saving the world has begun! This bike ride is especially important for me because ever since I was a little girl I loved riding a bike! When my battle with alcoholism finally landed me at rock bottom on May 8th 2010, at 24 years old, I found my way back up when I got a bike and found hope again!! I rode from Fullerton to Huntington Beach and all over to peddle for my freedom from the bondage of self!!! This brings me great joy to announce on May 8th 2020 I will take 10 years sober!!! This is my time to join the fight to stop HIV/AIDS! I want to help as many people as I can to live a long and beautiful healthy life! I want to stop this epidemic and give the world a chance! I am Courtney Jean Heckel and I need your help!
May 31st to June 6th, over 3,000 Cyclists, Roadies and Virtual Cyclists will be participating in AIDS/LifeCycle, a 545-mile bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles to raise funds for the life-saving services offered by San Francisco AIDS Foundation and the Los Angeles LGBT Center. This year, I’ll be one of them!
The services provided as a result of this event mean the world to those who receive them, and your support means the world to me.
We’re working together to make HIV/AIDS a thing of the past. Will you support me by making a donation today?
