Call me crazy but from May 31st to June 6th I'll be biking 545 miles from San Francisco to Los Angeles to raise funds for the life-saving services offered by San Francisco AIDS Foundation and the Los Angeles LGBT Center. This is going to be quite the adventure and over the next couple of months I'll be training hard!
Why am I doing this?
It's a good cause with some good people. I'm always looking for a new challenge and I'm also very grateful to physically be able to do these types of things (workout each morning, go for hikes, bike etc.) Due to my back I've had to adjust my life and learn to really listen to my body. It's made me very grateful to be able to get up and move every day (a luxury I no longer take for granted) and I plan to take advantage. What's better, I'll be doing it alongside fellow Adobe employees and supporting each other to the finish for a good cause!
An unexpected benefit of this ride has already been spending time with my mom. She's an amazing cyclist (in WAY better shape than me) and has been helping me train and giving me tips.
Thank you for your support and donations :)
**NOTE: if you donate through this portal, your donation will be 100% tax-deductible and you will receive a receipt that you can use if you itemize.
Alternatively, if you want to double your money, you can give me your donation directly (via Venmo, etc.) and I'll donate it on your behalf using your name, and my company will match your donation dollar-for-dollar, up to $10k! It takes a little while for it to show up on this page this way, but don't worry it's happening!
Thanks! (Rider #4531) Danielle Morimoto
