I am terrified & intimidated... Long distance cycling is new to me. And I am doing this anyway! & WHY would I walk out of my comfort zone of all that is familiar and get on a bike for 545 miles for 7 days through California? LOVE. I love people who have struggled with AIDS & HIV for many years, since back in the day when it was like wandering in the dark through a life-or-death maze. We have come a long way, thanks to LOVE, compassion, and community spirit, such as that found in this incredibly uplifting and genuinely helpful event, the AIDS/LifeCycle fundraising ride. In fact, this event has been life-changing and life-saving in itself for many people.
Fom May 31st to June 6th, over 3,000 Cyclists, Roadies and Virtual Cyclists will be participating in AIDS/LifeCycle, a 545-mile bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles to raise funds for the life-saving services offered by San Francisco AIDS Foundation and the Los Angeles LGBT Center. This year, I’ll be one of them!
Even though I'm freaked out, I am also super excited and committed! My bestie and veteran LifeCycle rider will be helping me to train. It takes a team to make the dream come true!
The services provided as a result of this event mean the world to those who receive them, and your support means the world to me.
Will you support me by making a donation today? I am aiming to personally raise at least $4000 for this wonderful cause, and hopefully more!
