Thank you for joining me in this cause! I’m excited to share my AIDS/LifeCycle journey with you.
I’ll be working throughout the year in support of the life-saving services offered by San Francisco AIDS Foundation and the Los Angeles LGBT Center. I have worked with the SF AIDS Foundation in the past (their hotline) and think their services are extremely important. The AIDS/LIfeCycle is a major opportunity to provide funding for these two organizations.
As many of you know already, my brother died of AIDS. This was many years ago (1988) and altered the course of my life. The pain and loss was tremendous, not just for me of course, but for the whole LGBT community in which Perry lived. Now there are some treatments and mitigations, but it's still important to provide services to the AIDS community. I ride both for Perry's memory and for the opportunity to support these AIDS service organizations and their clients.
Please join in supporting me in my AIDS/LifeCycle ride. This is in early June, and covers the 545 miles between San Francisco and Los Angeles. Any donation is much appreciated. And your donation will work harder because I will personally match all donations up to a total of $5,000. So please support my ride if you can. I will truly appreciate it!
