I'm so excited to be a support AIDS/LifeCycle for 2020, even if I don't get to ride my single speed to L.A.. Normally, this time of year over 3,000 Cyclists and Roadies would be participating in AIDS/LifeCycle, a 545-mile bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles to raise funds for the life-saving services offered by San Francisco AIDS Foundation and the Los Angeles LGBT Center. Like everything else in our lives, these in-person events are on hold, but people's needs aren't, in fact our need to care for one another is even greater.

This year, I am celebrating the one year anniversary of the confirmation that my Crohn's disease is in deep remission. It is no exaggeration to say that getting on the bike saved my life — in 2016, I trained to ride a 50 mile Gran Fondo after not knowing if I'd ever be able to ride again and after doing ALC in 2018, I trained and completed my first Sprint distance Triathlon.

I would appreciate any amount you could give, nothing is too small as it all goes to the critical services and support that are even more in need during the pandemic.
